Carousel Cloud validates the files you upload and will prevent uploading of unsupported media types.

Video Files

The following video file formats and codecs are supported:

File extensions

MOV, MP4 and M4V file wrappers are allowed.

4K Codecs

The following are supported only on 4K players.

* H.264/HEVC SDR video up to 2160p, 60 fps, Main/Main 10 profile

* HEVC Dolby Vision (Profile 5)/HDR10 (Main 10 profile) up to 2160p

HD Codecs

The following are supported on all players.

HEVC SDR up to 1080p, 30 fps, Main/Main 10 profile

H.264 video up to 1080p, 60 fps, High or Main Profile level 4.2 or lower

H.264 Baseline Profile level 3.0 or lower with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 fps, Simple profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

Image Files

JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF(Non-Animated), TIF, TIFF, and PNG image files are supported on all player types.

ZIP files

You can also upload a .Zip file full of images in order to quickly add multiple bulletins to Carousel.
