This article will cover the usage of the Clocks, Timer, Live Video, Video Input, and Weather bulletin types shown in the screenshot below. Since not all player types support all bulletins, please review this support article to ensure the bulletin/s you are using will work with your players.
Analog Clock
After selecting the Analog Clock bulletin type from the list, you are taken to the bulletin editor
Your options for changing the background, the clock hand color, and other settings are available to configure on the right side of the screen
When you’ve made all your adjustments, simply click the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the bulletin editor window
Digital Date/Time
After selecting the Digital Date/Time bulletin type from the list, you are taken to the bulletin editor
Your options for changing the background, the font, and other settings are available to configure on the right side of the screen
When you’ve made all your adjustments, simply click the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the bulletin editor window
Countdown Timer
After selecting the Countdown Timer bulletin type from the list, you are taken to the bulletin editor
Your options for changing the background, the font, and other settings are available to configure on the right side of the screen
Please Note:
When the Show Seconds box is checked, and you are using a specific date/time that is more than 24 hours away, this bulletin will only display the day and hour values
When the Show Seconds box is checked, and you are using a specific date/time that is less than 24 hours away, this bulletin will automatically update to display hours, minutes, and seconds instead of just the days and hours.
When you’ve made all your adjustments, simply click the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the bulletin editor window
Live Video
After selecting the Live Video bulletin type from the list, you are taken to the bulletin editor
Paste your HLS video stream URL into the URL field, then simply click the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the bulletin editor window
Video Input
After selecting the Video Input bulletin type from the list, you are taken to the bulletin editor
Since this bulletin type will only display a video input connected to your BrightSign player from another source (e.g. cable streaming box), and because Carousel Cloud can’t ‘see’ and display that output of the connected source, there are fewer settings available to adjust in Carousel Cloud
When you’ve made your adjustments, simply click the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the bulletin editor window
Weather
After selecting the Weather bulletin type from the list, you are taken to the bulletin editor
You can use the Layout, Dynamic, and Content tabs to make adjustments to your weather bulletins. More information regarding bulletin layout and formatting is explained in this support article
Layout
Using the Layout tab, you can add, remove, or click/drag the ‘blocks’ of the weather bulletin to adjust the visual layout to your preference
Dynamic
Using the Dynamic tab, you can adjust the zip code, use latitude/longitude as your location, use metric units, and more
Content
Using the Content tab, you can change the background, the primary weather graphic, and adjust which variable from the Dynamic Fields List is used in your blocks on the weather bulletin
Please Note: Weather bulletins have a #Time# variable in their Content > Dynamic Fields List, but it should not be used to show the current time because it is only used as an internal timestamp for when the weather was last checked from the weather provider
When you’ve made all your adjustments, simply click the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the bulletin editor window
