Carousel now integrates with Microsoft Excel so you can display your up-to-date workbook data on your signage displays and express players.
Please Note:
-
Due to Microsoft limitations, the following items are not supported:
Legacy Microsoft Excel .xls files are not supported. You must save the file as .xlsx in order for the file to show up in Carousel Cloud
Cross-Account-Type: Personal Microsoft accounts can only access files owned by or shared from other personal Microsoft accounts
Cross-Tenant: Microsoft 365 Work/School accounts can only access files within the same Azure tenant
Additional information about Carousel Cloud and Microsoft Connected Accounts is posted here
How it Works
Creating the Microsoft Excel Bulletin in Carousel Cloud
In Carousel Cloud, navigate to your desired zone for displaying the Microsoft Excel content and select New Bulletin > Dynamic Bulletin > Microsoft Excel Bulletin
If you haven’t already connected your Microsoft account to Carousel Cloud, click the orange ‘Connect to Microsoft’ button and then complete the account connection in the pop-up window from Microsoft
Please Note: If the pop-up Microsoft window displays a checkbox for permissions, you must check the box for Carousel to gain access to your Microsoft account
After connecting your Microsoft account to Carousel Cloud, you will then choose which Microsoft Excel file you want to display in Carousel Cloud by clicking ‘Choose a Workbook’ and then selecting it from the drop-down menu
After selecting the Microsoft Excel file you want to display, configure any additional Show settings as needed, and then you can simply hit the orange Publish button in the upper right corner of the Microsoft Excel bulletin screen. The Microsoft Excel bulletin creation process is complete!
