Supported Devices
The following device types are currently supported.
Any Mac that is running Catalina 10.15+ or later.
Player Setup Instructions
Start by downloading the Carousel Cloud Player App from your friendly local neighborhood App Store.
Next, launch the application. When the application loads, enter your Carousel Cloud URL in the provided field and select continue. You will be presented with the player registration screen.
Next, register your player using one of the following methods:
Sign into your Cloud account using the Sign in to activate… button.
Use the QR code on your mobile device, then sign in to register.
Use a different device to log into Carousel and navigate to Configure > Players > Player Setup and enter your registration code.
Once your player has successfully registered, it will display the initial channel and its settings will be available in the Player Dashboard.
Player Settings
Access the player settings using either the file drop-down menu and selecting Preferences… (when the player is full screen, the menu bar will appear if you move the cursor to the top of the screen)
or by pressing ⌘+, on your keyboard.
Checking the boxes here does the following:
Startup: Open automatically at login - Checking this box launches the Carousel Cloud Player app immediately when logging in to macOS.
Troubleshooting:
Reset Settings - Checking this box will clear all settings and unregister the Carousel Cloud Player
Reset Cache - Checking this box will clear the content that the player has cached.
Troubleshooting
Here are a few options to try if you ever experience any problems with the macOS Player:
Make sure the Site Name is entered correctly in the Player Setup Screen.
Watch for any error messages when the Player is launched.
Make sure you are using the most recent version of the macOS Player app.
