There are a few ways to activate your players in Carousel Cloud. This article will outline those methods.

Player Activation
Once your player is displaying an activation code, you can log in to Carousel using a Site Admin account or one with the ability to Manage Players. Select the gear icon next to your username in the upper right, then select Configure > Players. Then Select ‘Player Activation’
Enter the activation code and then click the submit code button. Now you’ll choose whether to configure your device as a Dedicated Player or an Express Player.
Please Note: Not all player types currently support both dedicated and express player configuration. If your player type does not, you will only have the Dedicated Player option.
To configure as a Dedicated Player, click the orange Dedicated Player Button. As shown below, you can now rename the player, select the channel that it should display, and activate it. Once it has been activated, it will begin displaying your content from Carousel Cloud. Additional player settings can be managed from the Dedicated Players Menu.
To configure as an Express Player, click the blue Express Player Button. As shown below, you can now choose the Express Player Feed that it should display, and activate it. Once it has been activated, it will begin displaying your content from the Express Player Feed in Carousel Cloud.
Please Note: Express players are not managed in the Carousel user interface, so changing the feed it is displaying will require you to reset the app on the device.
Batch Registration
This method only works for players that do not use the ‘Player Activation’ workflow that is explained above.
We recommend the batch registration method if you are deploying 10 or more media players at once, need to set the channel for different groups of media players, and if you can not easily see the screen of each one of your players. For example, from the comfort of your workspace!
Once your players are all physically installed, configured to your Carousel Cloud Account, and displaying the registration screen. They can all be registered at once or in large batches in the Carousel user interface.
Simply log into Carousel and click on your user name in the upper right, select Configure, then Players.
This will bring you to the player dashboard which shows you an overview of your player stats, licensing info, and show if you have any unregistered players. Clicking on either the Unregistered Players icon or Registration from the options on the left will then bring you to the Player Registration section.
Here you will see the details of your unregistered players including their hostname, IP address, Registration Code, and Player Type. Select the players you wish to register using either the Select All box or individually, and select Register Players.
Now, simply select the channel you would like to assign to this batch of players, and click Register.
Your players are now registered, licensed, and can be accessed from your Media Player Management screen!
Mobile Registration
This method only works for players that do not use the ‘Player Activation’ workflow that is explained above.
This method is best if you are registering players one at a time and can easily view the screen. For example, as you are physically installing them in your facility.
Once the player has been configured to your Carousel Cloud account, a registration screen will display on your screen. You can either scan the QR code using your mobile device, or navigate to the activation URL displayed on the screen to register your player.
You will need to log in to your Carousel Cloud Account with the appropriate access rights in order to successfully register your players. Once registered, the players will display the initial channel which is set using the drop-down menu in the settings section of your media player configuration.
