Goal: Configure an express player, or simply view an express player content feed, on a tablet
Please note:
-
Since the express player is essentially just displaying Carousel Cloud content in a web browser, many devices are supported.
-
The specific devices and software we’ve tested with are:
Safari on iPad running iPadOS 12 (and newer)
Chrome on Samsung running Android 8.2 (and newer)
Chrome Version 85.0.4183.133
-
The express player for tablets can be deployed manually or with an MDM solution such as Jamf or Google MDM. These MDM systems can distribute an express player as a website in bulk to many devices at once.
This support article explains both the functional differences and when to use an express player vs dedicated player
Express players are an add-on feature that may not be included with your current Carousel Cloud subscription. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for more information if needed.
Both Full Screen and Zone Alerts can be delayed up to approximately 1 minute. For this reason, we do not recommend express players for emergency alerts
