Carousel Cloud has the ability to integrate with Microsoft Exchange calendars to read and display events.
Please Note: The underlying technology required for this integration to work relies on Microsoft basic/legacy authentication, which Microsoft plans to EOL in the future. Click here for EOL information about this protocol.
As an alternative, you can use the steps in this article to use an iCal feed from Office 365.
How it Works
Create an External Authorization in Carousel Cloud
Navigate to Configure > System > Org Accounts and choose Microsoft Exchange (legacy) from the drop-down menu
The Office 365 Exchange Server URL is: https://outlook.office365.com
Enter your Exchange Server URL, Username, Password, and a user impersonation address (if applicable)
-
Then select Save
If you receive an error after clicking Save, it might mean your organization enforces Multi-Factor Authorization and as shown in the following screenshots, you may need to create an App Password in your Office 365 account to use with Carousel Cloud. Office 365 needs to have Legacy Authentications enabled to allow the connection if you are using Multi-Factor Authorization.
In your Office 365 account settings, select Security and Privacy, then select Additional security verification, then select Create and manage app passwords
Click Create to generate an App Password
Copy the uniquely generated password and select Save
You will use this app password in Carousel Cloud to authenticate your Microsoft Exchange account
Create the Event Bulletin in Carousel Cloud
Log in to Carousel Cloud and navigate to the zone in which you would like to display the Microsoft Exchange events
Select New Bulletin, then select Dynamic as the bulletin category
Depending on how you want to organize the events from the Microsoft Exchange calendar, choose one of the 3 types of highlighted event bulletins
Verify Microsoft Exchange is your Schedule Source
Choose the Connected Account and Exchange Calendar
-
Since the source Microsoft Exchange calendar most likely contains multiple items or entries, you will need to choose how to display the items or entries in the event bulletin. As shown in the screenshots below, the options for managing the event bulletin settings can be made from the orange Dynamic and Content tabs at the top of the bulletin editor window.
More information regarding bulletin layout and formatting is explained in this support article

Please Note: The Dynamic Fields List is a breakdown of all the possible Microsoft Exchange data fields Carousel Cloud can receive, and also lists the specific information we are receiving for a given data field from your source Microsoft Exchange calendar
After configuring the event bulletin, you can simply hit the orange Publish button in the upper-right corner of the events bulletin screen. The event bulletin creation process is complete!
