EMS Software is an enterprise-class workplace and campus management platform. In combination with Carousel Cloud, an EMS system can be used to display events on your digital signage.
How it Works
Create the Integration in EMS
In order to authenticate Carousel Cloud with your EMS system, you will need to create an integration for Carousel Cloud using your EMS Platform Services/Administration. More information on that process can be found using this EMS link. Please reach out to your EMS Administrator or Accruent/EMS directly for more information.
Creating an integration will generate a Client ID and a Client Secret that you will use in Carousel Cloud to connect these 2 systems.
Please Note: Your EMS Client Integration may require the All Routes role to complete the Carousel System External Authentication setup
Create an External Authorization in Carousel Cloud
Navigate to Configure > System > Org Accounts and choose EMS Software from the drop-down menu
Enter your EMS Server, Client ID, and Client Secret, and then choose Save
Create the Event Bulletin in Carousel Cloud
Log in to Carousel Cloud and navigate to the zone in which you would like to display the EMS system events
Select New Bulletin, then select Dynamic as the bulletin category
Depending on how you want to organize the events from the EMS system, choose one of the 3 types of highlighted event bulletins
Verify EMS Software is your Schedule Source
As needed, choose the Connected Account, Buildings, Rooms, Statuses, and Types fields

Since the source EMS system most likely contains multiple items or entries, you will need to choose how to display the items or entries in the event bulletin. As shown in the screenshots below, the options for managing the event bulletin settings can be made from the orange Dynamic and Content tabs at the top of the bulletin editor window.

Please Note: The Dynamic Fields List is a breakdown of all the possible EMS system data fields Carousel Cloud can receive, and also lists the specific information we are receiving for a given data field from your source EMS system
After configuring the event bulletin, you can simply hit the orange Publish button in the upper-right corner of the events bulletin screen. The event bulletin creation process is complete!
