Using Video Mode Plugins for Bluefin Ultrawide Players

  • The process explained below requires BRS Carousel Cloud app version 2.0.3.0 or newer

    • If needed, step 5 in this support article explains how to check for and install the latest BRS Carousel Cloud app version

To set a resolution using a video mode plugin for Bluefin signage players:

  1. Navigate to this link: https://www.thebluefin.com/downloads

  2. Scroll until you see the heading for Video Mode Plugins for BrightSign Presentations

  3. Click on your desired resolution to download the specific video mode plugin you want to use

  4. Now, as shown below:

    1. Open BrightAuthor Connected

    2. Click into the settings (using the gear icon) for the specific player you want to use the video mode plugin on

    3. Access the SD menu

    4. Place the video mode plugin file in the Videomode directory

  5. Reboot your player

  6. The applied resolution should take effect after the player reboots
